Thu, 11/29/2007 - 04:35 — ucarToday I'm trying to stay out of trouble but it seems my attempt to make a test drupal site, discussing why we are making the shanghai site so oddly different then the rest of the site, and attempt to start a drupal meeting all resulted in me getting in trouble. Which most of these are me try to take initiative and get things done, but it just seems to result in someone getting all up in arms.
Today I worked a bit on the Sere site:
- Updated Staff page
- New LAR page is live
Randomness
Wed, 11/28/2007 - 04:35 — ucarI fixed up CCB's Shanghai site by making it look a bit more like the rest of the CCB site, but I'm still dissatisfied with the disconnectedness of these website and I'm currently unsure how to resolve this issue. This page is supposed to be disconnected to CCB, but at the same time we are placing it under the CCB site and CCB is a big player in doing the work for the conference.
I also installed google analytics for all 4 sites and gave an access account to Scott
ASP ing
Mon, 11/19/2007 - 04:35 — ucarToday I updated and made the new top nav bar for the ASP pages live. This took lots of CSS code revamping and some of the images also needed to be revamped to look correct. I also corrected the blue line at the top of the page to look less choppy and rolled over the image fixes to all other sites. Scott has decided to stick with the side nav bar on the sub pages even though this is very repetitive.
I'm currently working on a drupal Ucar theme. So far it looks pretty close to the sere front page, but it still has a ways to go and I need to implement the menu correctly as well.
End of the Week
Fri, 11/16/2007 - 04:35 — ucarToday CCB briefed me on some things going on around here that need to be done. Here's a list of things needed to be done:
- Fix the first image on the rotating images on CCB
- Look into a Publishers Database --> email sent to Kay Sandoval
- Fix 2007 catalog pages links (Completed today)
New Menu
Thu, 11/15/2007 - 06:23 — ucarSo on Day two I went to a meeting of web developers and I felt a large disconnect on how things are done on each division or lab. There is no agreed upon technology or way of doing things. They seem to want to have the same look and feel with the top menu and maybe there are some other standards they have agreed upon, but I'm not certain on that.
